In Kalayaan Island, Palawan, Philippines, one of the outlying island projects under the National Power Corporation (NPC), Namkoo has delivered a new chapter of energy independence — a 160kW + 146kWh solar hybrid grid system designed to stabilize and strengthen island power supply.
This ground-mounted system combines solar, Energy Storage, and diesel integration to ensure round-the-clock reliability:
292 × 550W Solar Panels — delivering 150kW PV capacity
2 × 80kW Solis inverters — providing 160kW total output
1 Power Converter System (PCS) with high-voltage lithium battery bank — 146kWh storage capacity
2 × 225KVA SPP & ESS pv transformers — completing the system architecture
During sunny hours, the island runs on clean solar energy. When light conditions are low, the system intelligently integrates with existing diesel generators to guarantee uninterrupted supply.
The result is a significant improvement in power shortages and unstable electricity for both residential and industrial users.
