On Maripipi Island in the Philippines, Namkoo has successfully delivered a 150kW + 146kWh solar energy storage project

Reliable electricity can transform life on remote islands.

On Maripipi Island in the Philippines, Namkoo has successfully delivered a 150kW + 146kWh solar energy storage project, part of the island electrification program led by the National Power Corporation. The initiative aims to provide stable renewable power for communities across the country's outlying islands.

From system design and manufacturing to installation and commissioning, the entire project was completed by the Namkoo team.

System configuration:

150kW PV system with 252pcs × 600W Solar Panels

146kWh high-voltage Lithium Battery

2pcs × 80kW inverters + 150kW PCS

Hybrid operation with diesel generators and grid power

The system stores electricity and automatically provides stable power when diesel generation or grid supply becomes unstable—ensuring reliable energy for public facilities, local production, and daily life on the island.

Considering the long transport times and harsh coastal conditions of remote islands, Namkoo adopted IP56-rated, corrosion- and salt-resistant materials, ensuring the system operates reliably in seaside environments.

With the successful completion of this phase on Maripipi Island, Namkoo looks forward to supporting more Solar+ESS projects across the Philippine outlying islands, helping communities move toward a cleaner and more reliable energy future.
