In Papua New Guinea Namkoo delivered a 100kW + 400kWh solar energy storage system

Project configuration:

100kW solar PV (168pcs × 600W modules)

100kW inverter

400kWh Gel Battery system (250pcs × 2V 800Ah cells)

Hybrid system integrated with diesel generators

By combining solar generation with diesel backup, the system stores energy during the day and delivers reliable power at night—ensuring continuous airport operations and emergency readiness.

Before this project, the airport relied heavily on costly diesel fuel. Today, the solar + storage solution has significantly reduced operating costs while improving energy stability.

Since its installation in 2024, the system has been running smoothly. During our recent site visit, the client shared strong satisfaction with both performance and savings—and is already planning the next PV-storage project for a commercial building.
